Rod Hodgson is a Principal and Director of Maurice Blackburn and
leads the Queensland practice which is the largest of its kind in
Australia.
He is passionate about the pursuit of justice and has dedicated
his legal career to achieving fair outcomes for his clients,
who would not otherwise be able to access legal remedies.
Rod has extensive knowledge of legal process and been
responsible for many law-changing and leading cases. Has also
has a particular interest in superannuation disability insurance
claims.
As an advocate providing access to justice, Rod has also been
involved in cases that benefit not only individuals but the
community as a whole. Most recently, Rod led the team
instructed by Dr Mohamad Haneef during the Clarke Inquiry into the
circumstances surrounding his arrest and detention in 2008.
He recently assisted Dr Haneef in his wrongful detention claim.
Rod is a Queensland Law Society and Law Institute of
Victoria accredited specialist and Queensland State Committee
member of the Australian Lawyers Alliance.
