Sarah Atkinson is a Senior Associate and manager of Maurice
Blackburn's Queensland Medical Law Department. She is based in the
firm's Maroochydore office and sees clients throughout the
state.
Sarah gained her law degree in England and France. She
practiced in the United Kingdom for seven years before moving to
Brisbane in 2002. Sarah joined Maurice Blackburn in October
2004 after three years with another Brisbane firm.
Sarah is passionate about protecting the rights of people in
disadvantaged situations. She deals with many cases on behalf
of children, including those with cerebral palsy. She also acted
for former patients of weight reduction surgeon Dr Russell
Broadbent.
A number of Sarah's cases have received widespread media
coverage and she is recognised for her expertise in the area.
Sarah is a member of the Australian Lawyers Alliance, the
Sunshine Coast District Law Association, the Sunshine Coast
Business Women's Network, and Maurice Blackburn's Women's Law
Section.
